Most patients are tourists and are dealing with the stress of injury while on vacation. We all have a variety of duties and wear multiple hats because we are a small hospital. We treat a wide variety of patients and are the only inpatient department in the hospital, so all patients come to this floor. We sometimes receive overflow for LDRP and we take care of postpartum moms and babies. Our team has an amazing culture of teamwork and receives, high patient satisfaction scores. Census changes rapidly on the floor if ICU patients come in, so we are flexible. We work with limited resources, no transporters and no IV team.
