About the Role.....Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a Excellent Potential opportunity for an LPN/LVN in support of the Womack Army Medical Center (Department of Health) in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

We’re looking for a compassionate, detail‑oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to bring skill, heart, and dedication to our patients. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you’ll provide hands‑on care, support RNs and physicians, and make a real difference every single day.

This position offers:

Full-time opportunity, M-F 7:00am-3:30pm
No night or weekends

The Position will have the following requirements:

Graduate from a Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a State from a CNEA, or a U.S. territory.
Must have a minimum of one-year experience in a hospital, medical office, or outpatient clinical setting.
Maintains current or Compact state LVN license.
Maintains BLS

Key Duties Include

Provides direct care to patients within discipline Scope of Practice and performs functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing and/or competencies.
Administers medications as ordered. Medications may be given via the oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and other enteral and parenteral routes.
Performs prescreening and intake screening of patients newly arrived at the facility. Uses established intake tools for gathering subjective and objective data, referring abnormal findings or responses to a registered nurse, medical provider, dental provider, or behavioral health provers as appropriate.
Performs various treatments such as wound care, vital sign checks, electrocardiograms, etc. as ordered by a medical provider, dental provider, behavioral health provider, or registered nurse.
Collects laboratory specimens and performs point-of-care testing or prepares specimens for laboratory processing. Takes appropriate action on lab results received.
Additional responsible duties to include services within the scope of their competencies as LPN/LVN.

Prepare patient electronic health record and other appropriate forms prior to patient’s appointment. Assist the MCMH team in managing many aspects of patient’s care: referrals, hospitalizations, ER visits, ancillary testing and other as directed to achieve optimum outcomes in safe and cost effective manner. Develop/distribute lists of community resources available to patients. Establish and maintains a relationship with consulting providers, hospitals, ERs and other frequently utilized healthcare resources to serve as a bridge across the continuum for the patient. Duties- Specific to LPN/LVN : * The HCW shall provide services within the scope of their competencies, the applicable duties provided in the basic contract, and the following: * Utilize available automated programs and information technology, communication and management tools for proactive patient management and to facilitate patient engagement and enhance patient experience ((i.e., AHLTA, TSWF, CHCS, Care-Point and Secure Messaging). * Communicate with patients utilizing asynchronous Secure Messaging (i.e., Relay-Health) to improve communication and facilitate care through non-traditional means. * Participate in MHP/MCMH Team huddles/meetings each day to review scheduled appointments, identify MHP/MCMH Team requirements (i.e., supplies and equipment and staff support issues related to the day’s scheduled appointments) and scheduled patient requirements (i.e., scrubbing the schedule to identify diagnostic procedures or medical requirements that may be ordered or prepared before the patient appointment). * Prepare patient electronic health record and other appropriate forms prior to patient’s appointment. * Assist the MCMH team in managing many aspects of patient’s care: referrals, hospitalizations, ER visits, ancillary testing and other as directed to achieve optimum outcomes in safe and cost effective manner. * Develop/distribute lists of community resources available to patients. * Establish and maintains a relationship with consulting providers, hospitals, ERs and other frequently utilized healthcare resources to serve as a bridge across the continuum for the patient. * Coordinate consult/referral/ follow-up/tracking process for the practice * Coordinate continuity of care with patient to insure compliance Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Education: Be a graduate from a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program or completion of equivalent military training that permits sitting for the State licensure examination. As an alternative to the education requirements in the basic contract, the HCW may be a graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program OR be a graduate of a nursing program a program accredited by ACEN, OR have completed an equivalent military training program. * Experience: Possess one (1) year of clinical work experience as a full-time LPN/LVN within the preceding three (3) years. * Licensure: Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license from any state. * Life Support Certification: Current AHA or ARC BLS Certifications. * Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
