An exciting opportunity awaits for experienced LPNs and RNs passionate about school nursing and pediatric care. This contract assignment centers on providing dedicated 1:1 nursing support for a 4-year-old student managing Diabetes in a school environment. Collaborate closely with classroom staff, including a teacher and aide, ensuring the child receives comprehensive, compassionate care throughout the school day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current LPN or RN licensure required
  • Experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare preferred
  • Proficiency with insulin pumps, glucose monitoring, and diabetes management
  • Ability to interpret and respond to blood glucose readings effectively
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in a collaborative, school-based setting
  • Commitment to following care plans and working with educators and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct 1:1 care to a young student with Diabetes
  • Administer insulin, monitor glucose levels, and respond according to individualized healthcare plans
  • Document care activities and report any health concerns to healthcare providers and school staff
  • Educate and empower school personnel to best support the student's needs
  • Ensure a safe, supportive classroom environment for the student
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and healthcare regulations
