Make a true difference—one patient, one family, one compassionate moment at a time.

Develop and implement individualized care plans based on current and prior medical history
Deliver attentive, one-on-one support to patients and their families, ensuring comfort, dignity, and understanding
Conduct thorough assessments of physical, emotional, and spiritual needs throughout the care journey
Accurately monitor and document vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
Administer physician-ordered medications and treatments with skill and empathy
Educate patients and their families on care techniques and symptom management
Track and communicate changes in patient condition, ensuring timely and effective responses
Keep detailed and up-to-date clinical notes to reflect patient progress and quality of care provided
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery
And contribute to other supportive duties as part of a compassionate, mission-driven team
And additional duties as assigned

Overview Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more. Digestive Health Center provides gastrointestinal endoscopic exams to adults and geriatric persons in need of endoscopic exams. Besides direct observation, endoscopy enables biopsy, polyp removal, dilatation and stenting of strictures.
