Our community is looking for a Care Giver to join our team.

The Care Giver's role includes providing hands on care and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home like environment.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas
Helping residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident
Participating and assisting residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed
Engaging residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities

Qualifications:

Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred
High School diploma/GED
Must be 18 years of age
Previous experience working with seniors preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with Residents, management and co-workers
Superior customer service skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Must demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills

Memory Care, Caregiver ( AM, PM, NOC)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Assisting residents with ADL tasks as indicated in their service plans. This includes but not limited to: assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, serving and assisting with meals, feeding, housekeeping, bed making, and laundry Always observe and uphold resident rights Positively supports residents with emotional and behavioral issues Assist other staff as needed on the floors Assist residents to and from meals Supports resident activity participation by assisting residents to/from activities, encouraging participation, and leading activities when asked. Must be willing to work with staff from all departments to ensure quality of care for residents Keep environment safe and clean for residents; performing housekeeping duties as indicate don cleaning schedule or assignment sheets. Observe residents for safety and report any and all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner to LN on duty Assist in development and revision of Service Plans by informing supervisor of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches. Answers all resident pendant/pull cords immediately. Carry and possess a working knowledge of community call/communication system All other duties as assigned. The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living Physical Demands and Requirements: Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach. Must be willing to be active and on feet during entire work shift. Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities. Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.
