Key Responsibilities

  • Support Leadership: Assist the DON and ADON in overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring adherence to facility policies and state regulations.

  • Staff Oversight: Mentor and guide nursing personnel to uphold job standards, professional conduct, and best practices.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Take part in and facilitate government and accreditation surveys, ensuring our facility meets or exceeds all requirements.

  • Quality Rounds: Conduct daily rounds to monitor care delivery, address clinical concerns, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Conflict Resolution: Investigate and resolve staff complaints and grievances with professionalism and discretion, escalating to the Director of Nursing Services as needed. 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school

  • Active RN license in New York State

  • Current CPR certification

  • 2+ years of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a related clinical setting

  • Exceptional clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong communicator who thrives in a multidisciplinary team environment
