
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Northwest Georgia Oncology Services (Days)
Responsible for assisting the physician in clinical care of all patients to include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Will also have general responsibilities to assist in the day-to-day clinical operations of the office.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Education: See License/Certification Requirements
Experience: Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
Licenses and Certifications
*GEORGIA LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE OR MULTISTATE NURSING LICENSE
*HEALTHCARE PROVIDER (CPR)
Qualifications
*Two or more years of related experience in primary care, specialty care, surgical, or infusion required as a LPN. Oncology experience preferred.
*Must possess the sense of discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards.
*Must maintain high degree of confidentiality.
*Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient's medical records, physician's orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital, and or other physician.
*Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians.
*Prior experience performing oncology tests & labs required.
*NOTE: BLS within 1 month
