Sampson Regional Medical Center is searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Emergency Department!

 

Description:

The selected candidate will perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients of all ages under the direction and guidance of professional and nursing personnel. Assists with cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Assists in the Emergency Department as a circulator. Provides transportation of patients to radiology and other units.

 

Requirements:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Medical Terminology knowledge required.
  • Unit Secretary experience preferred, including clerical and computer experience.

 

Hours:

This is a PRN position working as needed.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for caregiving. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Personal Care Assistance: Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Support residents with eating, hydration, and nutritional needs. Help residents maintain personal hygiene and overall comfort. Health Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing team. Assist with medication reminders and basic healthcare tasks under the supervision of licensed staff. Resident Engagement: Foster meaningful relationships with residents through companionship and supportive care. Location: Jackson Main: 1611 NW 12th Ave, Miami, Florida 33136 Shift: Nights Miami, FL Full-Time CVICU Summary Patient Care Associate 1 provides patient focused, age-specific, information and clinical based support to patients through the utilization of appropriate health information equipment/systems. This is the level 3 job in the nursing support career ladder. Responsibilities Uses a systematic process to provide/modify care and patient/family education. Assists health care team with simple procedures; prepares supplies & equipment; provides patient/family support, assists in positioning patients, sets up/or remove equipment etc. Under direction, performs a variety of tasks associated with generalized patient care (vital signs, feeding, mobility, drainage, and personal hygiene: bath, dressing, bed making/linen changes etc.). Schedules appointments for referrals/consults as assigned, minimizes distractions. Consistently adheres to time outs prior to start of surgical and invasive procedures per policy. Follows policies on identification of patients, hand hygiene/infection control and all other related unit specific policies and procedures, as detailed on the unit specific competency checklist. Performs phlebotomy function as assigned. Employees assigned to units performing phlebotomy function must have completed an accredited phlebotomy program.
