Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

  • Plans for and scrubs assigned surgical procedures in accordance with AORN, AST, quality, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Participates in on-call rotation based on the need of the department.
  • Operates the sterilizer and other patient care equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions after proper training.
  • Promotes hospital processes and goals, and communicates issues, whether actual or potential, to appropriate person in the chain of command.
  • Takes initiative in performing other duties, whether assigned or not, such as assisting with updating surgeon preference cards, pulling case carts, stocking rooms, turning-over the OR, and assisting with scheduled supply inventory.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of a Surgical Technology for Surgical Technologist role is required.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology.
  • Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred

Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program and Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school Certified or Registered as a Medical Assistant, or Surgical Technician BLS Certification through American Heart Association Ability to complete department-specific program modules for medical assistants 1+ years of related experience as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant OR 1+ years of related surgical assistant experience Ability to complete the review/skill validation program within 90 days of hire into this role Ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population Proven windows-based computer skills Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in a Mohs or Dermatology clinic or related department Ambulatory Care experience EPIC experience Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
