JOB SUMMARY FOR CAREGIVER
At Comfort Keepers®, we provide uplifting in-home care that helps seniors live independently with joy, purpose, and connection. As well, provides companionship to those individuals requiring socialization and/or minimum guidance to ensure a safe, protected, clean, and orderly environment. Duties include medication reminders, errands, laundry, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship.
We are growing and looking for a relationship-driven professional to help expand our presence in the community as a contributor of business development assistant. As well this position will help mirror the expectation to seniors and adults to live joyful, connected, and independent lives at home. Our caregivers don’t just assist with daily tasks - they build meaningful relationships and create moments of purpose and happiness every day.
SALARY
Hourly Rate: $19.25 - $22.00 + Incentives

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED preferred. Must demonstrate satisfactory completion of any stated mandated training. CNA's, HHAs, & PCA's are encouraged to apply, although certification is not required.
Must complete Comfort Keepers training and orientation program. Must accept responsibility for learning and adhering to Comfort Keepers policies and procedures, be able to function in the home setting with minimal direct supervision and maintain satisfactory relationships with administrative staff, clients, and family members. Must be genuinely concerned about helping people and having high standards of honesty and integrity. Most importantly—you’ll be part of a team that is Elevating the Human Spirit every day.
Applicants must be able to provide a valid license, proof of auto insurance.
- Healthcare outreach preferred
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Ability to manage time and follow-up consistently
- Experience in healthcare, senior services, or community outreach is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and families
- Prior caregiving experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to pass background check
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs duties as assigned on the plan of care.
- Assists caregivers on the case as needed to support plan of care
- Works with family and administrative staff regarding plan of care
- Assists with updating plan of care and supporting caregivers
- Provides a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and family members.
- Provides light housekeeping tasks including laundering of client’s garments and linens and changing the bed.
- Assists in meeting nutritional needs by providing meal planning, meal preparation, grocery shopping, dishes, and kitchen clean-up.
- Observes and reports any changes in the client’s mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and professional relationships with clients, family members, and co-workers.
- Participates in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as requested by immediate supervisor.
- Completed required documentation of services delivered and submitted to office in a timely manner according to policy.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Client home settings, and automobiles. Contact with blood or other body fluids may pose a risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious diseases.
POSITION PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work requires moderate physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as
driving, and light housekeeping. Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, see,
reach, kneel, and crouch. Lifting up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be required. Provide
care to seniors in their homes.
