Purpose of Position:

Assess, plan, coordinate and render skilled nursing care to patients while applying standards for professional nursing practice; Provide care ranging from non-urgent to life threatening, including but is not limited to, medical illness, trauma care, pediatric care, gerontological care, injury prevention, women’s health, mental health issues and life- and limb-saving measures.

Essential Functions:

Utilize nursing process to care for health care customers of all ages
Carry out patient assessments, diagnosis, planning, and implementation of interventions, evaluate the patients response to the interventions including emotional, social and safety needs
Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
Perform various patient tests and administer medications as prescribed by physician
Triage, prioritize, and assist in the stabilization, resuscitation, crisis intervention and /or emergency preparedness of the customer
Perform other duties as assigned
