Position Overview

A premier Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. The ideal candidate will oversee all nursing operations, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and promote the highest standards of resident care and employee engagement.

The Director of Nursing will work closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to maintain clinical excellence and deliver outstanding outcomes for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, supervise, and evaluate all nursing personnel and nursing services
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
  • Monitor resident care plans and ensure quality standards are consistently met
  • Lead staff development, education, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Oversee infection control, risk management, and quality assurance programs
  • Coordinate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary departments regarding resident care
  • Assist with surveys and ensure facility readiness for inspections
  • Manage staffing schedules, labor costs, and departmental budgets
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in good standing
  • Previous experience as a Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SNF regulations, survey process, and clinical operations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate and mentor nursing staff
  • Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation

Educate patients in all areas of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Assist the physicians in the out-patient clinical practice. Performing such tasks as veni-puncture, finger-sticks, and injections. Assist the physicians with in-vitro fertilizations and inseminations, biopsies and ultrasounds. Assist with Oocyte retrieval and Embryo transfer. Assist the physicians with all surgical procedures performed at the Center. Record patients’ medical history, vital statistics, weight, temperature, and height. Administer IV therapy and medication, draw blood, teach patients, and perform other clinical procedures or processes as assigned. Maintain logs for crash cart, AED, and narcotic medications. Follow and adhere to all infectious control policies and procedures. Maintain and update all Joint commission requirements. Review and report laboratory test results.
