Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Newport News, VA

Schedule: PRN/ Per Diem Day & Night Shift AvailableCompensation: $50 per hour

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit
  • Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
  • Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems
  • Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry
  • Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
  • Competence in Rapid Response and code events
  • Instruct and counsel patients/families
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid State RN License
  • BLS is required at hire.
  • ACLS is required at hire.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience

Teach the patient, family, and other members of the health care team. Perform services in accordance with the physician’s orders and the established plan of care (POC). Qualifications Must be a graduate of an approved school of clinical education. Must be licensed in the state where they currently practice. Must have at least one year experience as a licensed professional. Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device. Education and experience, preferred Experience as a licensed professional may be deferred with a review and approval from the regional vice president or regional director. Medicare home health or hospice experience is preferred. Review and approve patient information submitted by the licensed professional during a start of care, recertification, resumption of care, or evaluation visit. Facilitate the relationship between physicians, referral sources, patients, caregivers, and employees. Qualifications Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. Must be licensed in the state in which they currently practice, or in accordance with the board of nursing rules for nurse licensure compact for the state in which they practice. Must have at least two years of nursing experience. Must have one year experience in home health or hospice. Must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the federal, state, and local laws and regulatory guidelines that govern a home care operation.
