Competitive Pay

• $20.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities

As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Lorien Columbia, you will play an essential role in supporting the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents. Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and licensed nursing staff, you will safely administer medications while providing compassionate, resident-centered care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.Responsibilities include:

• Administer prescribed medications accurately and timely according to physician orders and care plans.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition, reporting concerns to the nursing team.
• Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation.
• Assist with resident care and activities of daily living as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, infection control standards, and medication management protocols.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure medication administration environment.

 

Qualifications

 

• Full/Part Time Hours
• Schedule: Days, Evenings  
• Every other weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)
• Maryland CMA license
• Maryland GNA (CNA-I) license
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation

 

Lorien Columbia has been in the heart of Howard County, MD since 1977 and is the first of 9 Lorien facilities. Our facility includes skilled nursing, rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, as well as the only Korean nursing unit in Howard County with 215 beds total, 5 nursing units.
