What You'll Do

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and non-emergency healthcare needs
  • Perform minor procedures within your scope of practice
  • Coordinate follow-up care and referrals as needed
  • Maintain thorough documentation in the EMR

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from an accredited APRN or Physician Assistant program
  • NH APRN or PA-C licensure (or eligibility)
  • Current DEA registration
  • 3+ years of experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or walk-in care
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Overview New London Hospital is seeking per diem advanced practice providers (APRN or PA) with prior hospital medicine or critical care medicine background to join our Hospital Medicine Team. Primarily night shift coverage, but occasional day coverage shifts available as well. Primary responsibilities include independently rounding on acute/swing/custodial patients, performing ED admissions, and responding to medical emergencies. The candidate will join a team of physicians and advanced practice providers who focus on delivering exceptional inpatient care. New London Hospital does have a Special Care Unit (SCU) which serves as a step-down unit, but performing procedures or ventilation management is not required. Providers must maintain ACLS credentialing. This position offers flexible shift work that allows for improved work-life balance.
