Position Summary
Holly Hill Healthcare Center, a 75-bed skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, and memory care-focused facility located in Towson, Maryland, is seeking compassionate, dependable, and service-oriented Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA-1s) professionals to join our nursing team. As a CNA-I, you will play an essential role in providing high-quality, resident-centered care to individuals receiving skilled nursing, long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and memory care services.
Working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, you will assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, comfort, safety, and quality of life. We are looking for individuals who are committed to delivering exceptional care through teamwork, compassion, professionalism, and clinical excellence.
Effective April 2026, the Maryland Board of Nursing redesignated the former Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) credential as Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA-I). Individuals who currently hold or previously held a Maryland GNA certification satisfy the certification requirements for this position and are encouraged to apply.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered care while preserving each resident's dignity, privacy, rights, and independence.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, oral hygiene, and mobility.
Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, range-of-motion exercises, and restorative care activities in accordance with individualized care plans.
Observe, document, and promptly report changes in residents' physical, mental, emotional, or behavioral condition to the licensed nurse.
Measure and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other assigned clinical observations.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Follow established infection prevention and control, workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance procedures.
Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve exceptional resident outcomes.
Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with all applicable federal, state, and facility policies, including HIPAA requirements.
Perform other duties within the scope of CNA-I certification as assigned.
Qualifications
Active Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA-I) certification in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing Assistant Registry.
Former Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification satisfies this requirement.
Current CPR certification preferred or required in accordance with facility policy.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Compassionate, dependable, professional, and committed to delivering outstanding resident care.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced interdisciplinary healthcare environment.
Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, post-acute care, memory care, or hospital settings is preferred but not required. Newly certified CNA-Is are encouraged to apply.
Schedule
Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities may be available. Candidates must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required to meet resident care needs.

This position is represented by 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East. Compensation, benefits, paid leave, holidays, scheduling provisions, and other applicable terms and conditions of employment are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and facility policies.

Union Position
This position is represented by 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East and is covered by the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will be subject to the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement, including any applicable union membership or dues obligations, consistent with federal and Maryland law.
