As a Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Personal Care, you will carry out our Mission of Love by performing various resident care activities and related non-professional nursing services while ensuring the care of our residents is provided in a safe, caring, timely, and appropriate manner by maintaining the appropriate competencies and skills through continued education that encompasses all of these areas. This will include assisting our residents in reaching or attaining the highest potential in their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Our Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Personal Care is responsible for the following:

  • Provides care of our residents in a safe, caring, timely and appropriate manner to assist each resident in attaining their highest potential. Assists residents with activities of daily living. Performs any of the procedures included in the NA Training Manual, within the scope of practice and Masonic Village policies and procedures.
  • Observes residents and answers call bells in a timely manner to respond to residents' care needs. Reports observations, changes, unusual conditions or reactions to supervisor or appropriate discipline in a timely manner. Takes appropriate action as requested or required by the situation.
  • Accurately completes, documents, and communicates all resident information and nursing care provided in a timely manner and in accordance to Masonic Village policies and procedures.
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living, i.e., bathing, hair care, nail care, and oral care. Provides direct resident care and transports residents to activities and appointments in a timely manner.

What You Need as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Personal Care:

  • Current Nursing Assistant certification.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
