Registered Nurse Unit Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Riverwood Health and Rehabilitation in Starke, Florida. As a Registered Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our healthcare facility, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Manage and coordinate the activities of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants to ensure effective patient care.
Develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring that they align with established policies and procedures.
Coordinate and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Provide clinical leadership and guidance to staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Participate in performance improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure effective patient care.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Identify and address performance gaps, providing training and coaching to staff members as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Monitor and optimize patient flow, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
Participate in infection control and risk management activities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
