Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Riverwood Health and Rehabilitation in Starke, Florida. As a Registered Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our healthcare facility, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants to ensure effective patient care.

  • Develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring that they align with established policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

  • Participate in performance improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure effective patient care.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

  • Identify and address performance gaps, providing training and coaching to staff members as needed.

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

  • Monitor and optimize patient flow, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.

  • Participate in infection control and risk management activities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
