Job Responsibilities
- Providing nursing assistant care to residents in post-acute facilities
- Following and adhering to resident care plans
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, mobility, and toileting
- Monitoring and recording blood pressure and other vital signs
- Offering companionship and a compassionate presence to residents in need
- Moving and repositioning residents in beds and wheelchairs as needed
- Observing resident conditions throughout your shift and reporting any changes or concerns
- Acting as a liaison between medical staff, residents, and visitors
- Helping to serve and feed meals to residents as needed
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by cleaning surfaces, changing linens, and tidying residents' rooms
Qualifications and Skills
- Current CNA certification
- Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff and residents
- Familiarity with medical terms and basic nursing care practices
- High level of attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
