Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to residents in our Behavioral Unit, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with our policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care
• Monitor and report any changes in resident status or condition to the charge nurse or supervisor
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve resident outcomes and satisfaction
• Collaborate with other departments, such as social services and therapeutic recreation, to provide a holistic approach to resident care

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state of Ohio

Licensed Practical Nurse - Endoscopy and Surgery SURGERY/ENDOSCOPY LPN MAIN FUNCTION: Scrubs and assists the RN and other health care team members during surgical and endoscopic procedures. Assists in the care, preparation and maintenance of sterile and non-sterile equipment and supplies. MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS: • Active license in the State of Ohio • Maintain a current AHA (American Heart Association) Healthcare Provider BLS card Must be able to respond to the hospital within 30 MINUTES or be willing to stay on site while on call. RESPONSIBLE TO: Department Director, Clinical Manager, Charge Nurses Operations Verifies correct sponge, tape, needle, and instrument according to procedure. Assists the RN in receiving the patient in operating room or procedure room, checks patient identity and chart to assure all necessary information has been completed. Assists RN in assessing patient's physical and emotional needs according to the patient's age and development. Assembles necessary supplies and equipment and ascertains all are in working order. Assists in properly positioning patient on operating table and preparing the operative site. Using sterile technique, properly dons sterile gown and gloves, and technique sets up table with instruments and supplies according to procedure. Reporting to the RN Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing, this ever important position will promote and restore our residents' health by completing the nursing process in our Stephens Care Center. The LPN will be responsible for directing and developing staff, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members and providing physical and psychological support for residents, friends and families. Additionally, the LPN will be responsible for, including but not limited to: Reviewing, implementing and evaluating the residents' plan of care.
