REQUIREMENTS

Current NYS License as a Registered Nurse

Current Certification in CPR

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in pediatric and/or community or public health nursing

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the health needs of students and staff.
  • Administer medications and treatments per medical orders and parental written authorization based on district policy.
  • Follow communicable disease control procedures and inform and advise administration and/or parents regarding school exclusion and re-admission.
  • Provide care for student illnesses and accidents according to school policies and protocols during the school day.
  • Plan with administrators, teachers, and other school personnel to modify the school environment for children with special health care needs.
  • Responsible for all follow-up on in-school physical examination referrals.

SALARY

$66,171 - $67,790 (Salary Range)
