Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required

Licensed nurses needed for am and pm , 8 hour shifts POSITION DESCRIPTION Looking for PER DIEM Nurses. We are on 12-hour shifts (6a to 6:30pm, 6pm to 6:30am): Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies as well as state, federal and local guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS Current LVN/LPN license in practicing state. Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one. Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required. RESPONSIBILITIES Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting. Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
