Job Responsibilities

Delivering quality nursing assistant care to residents in post-acute care settings
Holding yourself accountable to established resident care plans
Monitoring vital signs, including blood pressure, and documenting findings as required
Providing emotional support and meaningful companionship to residents
Assisting with the transfer and repositioning of residents in beds and wheelchairs
Communicating with and between medical staff, residents, and visitors as needed
Helping residents with ADLs, including personal hygiene, mobility, and toileting
Keeping a watchful eye on resident conditions during each shift and escalating any concerns to the nursing team
Ensuring a clean and hygienic environment by sanitizing surfaces, freshening linens, and tidying residents' rooms
Assisting with meal service and providing feeding support to residents as needed

Qualifications and Skills

Applicable CNA certification
Knowledge of medical terms and basic nursing care procedures
Strong observational skills and a high level of attention to details
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with medical professionals and residents
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
