We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Sepsis Coordinator to join our Med Staff Quality Assurance 105 department. Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Sepsis Coordinator to join our Med Staff Quality Assurance 105 department. In this role, you will collaborate with quality leaders and service line teams to develop and implement performance improvement strategies, with a focus on sepsis bundle compliance and patient safety. Your expertise will contribute to our continuous quality improvement efforts, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with quality leaders and service line teams to develop service line scorecards aligned with organizational goals.
- Analyze performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and develop/implement action plans.
- Ensure FPPE and OPPE processes are coordinated with the Medical Staff Office and service line chairs.
- Assist with peer review activities, including for-cause FPPE, and maintain meeting minutes.
- Support regulatory and accreditation preparation activities, ensuring familiarity with assigned roles.
- Review sepsis data abstractions, monitor bundle compliance, and provide educational support to frontline teams.
- Partner with service line business leaders to advance service line goals and ensure operational support.
- Maintain required data elements for The Joint Commission and CMS, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in coordinating and facilitating performance improvement initiatives with a focus on process redesign.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (Required), Master's degree preferred.
- Current New Jersey Registered Nurse licensure (Required), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care or equivalent experience (Required), with clinical experience in emergency medicine, critical care, or neuroscience/stroke.
- Experience with healthcare quality data analysis (Preferred).
- Proficiency in clinical applications like Microsoft and Vizient (Preferred), training provided if needed.
- Strong technical knowledge of healthcare functions and processes.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop improvement strategies.
