Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; 7:00am - 4:00pm, Monday-Thursday, 7:00am - 1:00pm Fridays

Weekend Requirement: No Weekend

Holiday Requirement: Paid Holidays

Position Summary:

The Pain Management RN position operates in two service locations, one in the clinic setting and one in the operating room. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Rooming, vital signs, gathering histories, educating patients, and coordinating with pain providers.
  • Assisting with procedures.
  • Assisting with gathering the necessary supplies and equipment for procedures.
  • Coordinating patient care with other procedural staff.
  • Respond to patient phone calls, patient messages, and collaborate with providers to deliver the best care possible.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the pain providers with prior authorization needs.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Position Requirements:

  • Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree preferred.
  • Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
  • Current BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months.
  • ACLS certification, Pain Management Procedural knowledge preferred
  • 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Intermediate proficiency with computers is required
  • Comprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of equipment such as retinal scanners, EKG, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience documenting patient care in electronic medical records.
  • Thorough understanding of triage.
  • Understanding of lab procedures and equipment.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
