Registered Nurse Ambulatory Specialty

Work Schedule: Full-Time Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, no weekends or holidays.

Department: General Surgery - Surgical Oncology RN

We seek a Nurse/RN to join the expanding Surgical Oncology/Breast Cancer teams. Position will involve assisting surgeon with office-based procedures and biopsies; surgery orders; wound care; answering, triaging, and documenting phone calls from patients or other physician’s offices; administrative and clinical duties as assigned. RN will also work as part of larger nursing team under the direction of the clinical supervisor to serve all of Wilmington Surgical’ s general surgery patients.  We work hard but also strive for a proper work/life balance. Our office is open 8am-4pm M-F allowing you more time with your family. Additionally, you can get back your weekends and holidays never needing to miss another holiday or weekend event again.

• Education:  High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred.
