How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Deliver compassionate, direct patient care under RN supervision, ensuring every individual’s daily needs and comfort are met with dignity.
  • Monitor and track vital signs and patient responses to provide the clinical team with the real-time data necessary for safe, effective interventions.
  • Document the patient’s journey and clinical observations accurately to maintain high-quality medical records and seamless care transitions.
  • Collaborate with your preceptor to refine care plans, using your frontline observations to help shape the best possible outcomes for your patients.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, including preparing/transporting patients for diagnostics and supporting a clean, safe healing environment.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED required. Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer.

Position Summary ATTENTION NURSING STUDENTS!!! Brookwood Hospital is looking for nursing students who are interested in participating in our Nurse Internship program! This is a PAID program that allows you to work alongside our RNs while dedicated to a specific unit and team. This is more than just a nurse assistant role, this is a role in which you will learn skills that you will be able to take with you after graduation as you are mentored by our RNs and managers. We also provide flexibility with our schedule whenever possible. This is not a nursing assistant role disquised as an internship!
