Role Description The Operations Nurse Coordinator I is a full-time, on-site role based at UPMC Passavant McCandless. This role coordinates daily patient care activities, supports clinical workflows, and facilitates communication among nursing staff, physicians, and allied health professionals to ensure safe, efficient care delivery. The coordinator assists with patient triage, scheduling, and care transitions, monitors clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness, and helps maintain adherence to organizational policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with unit operations, supporting staffing and resource utilization, participating in performance improvement initiatives, and serving as a clinical resource for patients, families, and team members.

Qualifications
- Clinical expertise and foundational knowledge in Medicine, Nursing, and Critical Care Medicine appropriate to the patient population served.
- Strong Patient Care skills, including assessment, care planning, and coordination of services across the continuum of care.
- Effective Organization Skills for managing multiple priorities, workflows, and documentation in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing with relevant experience considered.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within interprofessional teams and communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and culturally responsive, inclusive care.
