Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON

As the Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients and residents. Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, promoting a culture of excellence, and providing strategic leadership to our nursing staff.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Director of Nursing in developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management
• Provide mentorship and guidance to our nursing staff, promoting professional development and ongoing education
• Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to develop and implement initiatives that improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions
• Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and efficient use of supplies and equipment
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes that promote better patient care
• Foster a culture of open communication, empathy, and respect among staff, patients, and families
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or related field)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a post-acute care setting
• Current RN licensure in the state of Alabama
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
