GENERAL STATEMENT The Clinical Nurse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the clinical experiences for student Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) candidates. This individual will provide on-site supervision for all pre-nursing students during their clinical rotations, collaborate with classroom instructors and clinical sites to schedule student clinical hours, and meet regularly with Therapeutic Pathway - PreNursing classroom teachers to review student progress and provide in-class supports as needed. The supervisor will also ensure that both didactic and clinical objectives align with the requirements of the Connecticut State Board of Nursing.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and evaluate students during clinical experiences.
Ensure that students complete the required clinical and instructional hours in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Maintain knowledge of all clinical site requirements and expectations.
Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and clinical staff.
Collect and compile information needed for student evaluations.
Support health and safety education activities as directed.
Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to all district policies and procedures.
Collaborate and work cooperatively with all staff members.
Utilize effective motivational and instructional techniques to support student success.
Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Career & Community Learning
Must have flexibility in scheduling to ensure both schools' programs are supported based on need
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold an active Registered Nurse (R.N.) license and an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
In lieu of an R.N., a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a minimum of two years of long-term care or geriatric nursing experience may be considered, per Department of Public Health approval.
At least one year of related experience preferred.
