Qualifications
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a clinical staff position at the outpatient Medical Oncology Clinic HOPD, with emphasis on the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN provides clinic-related nursing care and nursing support to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing/s vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
- Current, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Demonstrates willingness and ability to maintain clinical competency as required by the department.
- IV certification required or ability to obtain.
- Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
- One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Current LPN License.
- IV certification required or ability to obtain.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation
- Not required to operate a vehicle for an assigned business purpose.
- A frequent driver is defined as an employee who uses their personal or Shands automobile:
- At least once daily; or
- At least five individual trips per week; or
- Drives an average of more than 150 miles per week in the performance of their job.
- The appropriate operator designation should be indicated on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form when the position is submitted for posting.
