Our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit cares for patients who require continued care and rehabilitation following a significant illness, injury, or medical event. Our primary patient population includes individuals recovering from strokes, brain injuries, motor vehicle collisions, and other conditions that impact mobility, function, and independence. This is a great opportunity for nurses who enjoy building strong clinical skills, collaborating with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, and helping patients work toward meaningful recovery goals.

What You'll Do

As a Registered Nurse on our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, you'll use your clinical judgment, compassion, and nursing expertise to provide safe, high-quality care while supporting patients throughout their recovery and rehabilitation journey.

You'll:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care

  • Prioritize and coordinate care for assigned patients based on their medical and rehabilitation needs

  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the appropriate members of the care team

  • Safely perform nursing procedures and follow established standards of care

  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members

  • Support patients in achieving their individualized rehabilitation goals and maximizing their level of independence

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living while encouraging participation and independence

  • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process

  • Delegate and supervise patient care activities appropriately

  • Deliver effective handoffs to promote continuity of care

  • Maintain a safe environment while following infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements

  • Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition

  • Contribute to quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives

  • Support your teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment

  • Continue developing your nursing knowledge and skills

The Must-Haves

Minimum:

  • Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
