Job Description

A Day in the Life 

  • As a Medical Assistant Procedural, you will complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic. You will work alongside the provider to make sure our patients are taken care of, and the clinic runs smoothly If you have and enjoy using your procedure-based skills, this opportunity is perfect for you!
  • You will be the first point of patient care within the clinic. You will room and prepare patients according to clinic specific checklists or procedures. You will measure patient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse (manual and automatic), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and other patient care which can vary based on clinic. 

  • You will complete required patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc. You will also perform a variety of procedures with patients following established protocols and processes including sterile procedure setup and specimen collection.

  • You will assist with day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care which can include assisting fellow teammates and providers when necessary.  


Qualifications

What’s Required  

CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
  • Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
  • BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
  • Experienced in Phlebotomy is highly preferred.
  • NON-CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
  • One year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in a provider/patient support or Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson healthcare.
  • BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained

Position Summary: Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, will provide excellent patient care by performing or assisting in a variety of medical procedures and tests to assist in the examination and treatment of patients, including but not limited to vital signs, procedures, various treatment, administering injections and venipuncture.
