Job Summary and Qualifications As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. What you will do in this role: Applies the nursing process to a group of patients. Evaluates outcomes of patient care, consults with other disciplines as required and adjusts the plan of care as necessary to ensure optimal service. Ensure appropriate delivery of patient care for a group of patients according to policy and procedure; assigns and/or delegates patient care assignments to licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, based on acuity, needs of the patient, staff availability and qualifications. Participates and facilitates in the case management process and cost containment for patients. Demonstrates accountability for direct patient care and evaluation of patient outcomes. Documents all aspects of patient care efficiently and effectively, utilizing Meditech EMR. Performs assessments and delivers care in a timely manner to facilitate the timely disposition of the ER patients, considering the acuity of the patients and patient satisfaction. Demonstrates ability to interpret patient’s EKG and manage EKG monitoring/telemetry.
