Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Work Environment: 

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. 

  • Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely. 

  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates. 

  • Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records. 

  • Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.

  • Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life. 

  • Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents. 

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care. 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting PREFERRED.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care. 

  • Certifications: Current CNA certification in Kentucky required.

Summary Job Description: Nursing Assistant, Neuro and Cardiology unit, Telemetry, 3E Location : Baptist Health, Lexington Schedule : Full-time, 1st Shift, 7a-7p UNIT OVERVIEW: 3E is a 19 bed telemetry unit, specializing in neurology and medical cardiology patients. The staff on 3E care for patients who come to BHL for our Comprehensive Stoke Care Program and nurses on 3E have additional certifications and training to provide high quality care to our Stoke population. Patient are admitted from the ED, ICU or direct admits on this unit. JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and support services to patients and families. This role performs selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and overall care of patients. REQUIREMENTS: -High School Diploma or equivalent -Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year clinical classes in nursing school and validation of a clinical consistent with level of education. -Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain -BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
