RN Nurse 12 hour Shift

RN Nurse 12 hour Shift Day/Night Job Summary: Lexington Premier Nursing & Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing facility team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our residents. Responsibilities: Patient Care: Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatment planning, and administering medications. Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in condition. Coordination of Care: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents. Communication: Effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members to address concerns and provide updates on patient status. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Training and Supervision: Mentor and guide nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs, ensuring adherence to care protocols and facility procedures. Compliance: Ensure all nursing practices comply with state and federal regulations, including infection control, safety protocols, and resident rights. Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to stabilize and manage acute situations. Participation: Works with other nurses in taking weekend, night, and holiday calls on a rotating basis. Qualifications: Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program. Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky. Experience: 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred, but not required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Skills: Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills. Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
