The position is responsible for delivering first aid and emergency care, conducting and assisting with health screenings, maintaining student health records, supporting immunization and communicable-disease control activities, and promoting a safe and sanitary school environment. The Registered Professional Nurse (School) performs duties under the general direction of the School Physician or School Nurse-Teacher. Unlike the certified School Nurse-Teacher position, this role does not include classroom instruction or student guidance responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides nursing care, first aid, and emergency treatment to students and school employees. Assists the School Physician with physical, visual, and auditory health screenings and examinations. Identifies and reports health concerns and assists with appropriate follow-up and notification.
