Job Summary:

Seniors Helping Seniors Central Oklahoma is seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide companion care to a senior client with dementia. As a Caregiver, you will be part of a team that brightens the lives of seniors by providing a helping hand and a friendly smile. Our caregivers, who are seniors themselves (aged 50+), make life a little easier by taking care of day-to-day tasks that become more challenging as seniors age.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide companionship and homemaker duties, including light housekeeping, shopping, and errands

  • Assist with personal care duties, including dressing, feeding, showering/bathing, mobility assistance, toileting/incontinence, and memory care

  • Engage in activities that bring joy and stimulation to the client, such as playing games, watching movies, or going for walks

  • Document client's progress and daily activities

  • Maintain open communication with the client's family and our organization

Requirements:

  • Previous Caregiving experience, CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP, or experience caring for a loved one

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test

  • Valid Driver's License with a reliable vehicle and insurance

  • Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions to execute our care plan

  • Maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism set by Seniors Helping Seniors

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time schedule with flexible hours

  • Occasional light lifting and bending may be required

  • Must be reliable and able to commit to regular shifts
