Emergency Room Registered Nurse

FSN is looking for a qualified Registered Nurse – Emergency Department/Critical Care for both night and day shifts!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a Level 1 or 2 trauma and acute care environment.
• Perform thorough patient assessments with minimal supervision, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice.
• Effectively utilize Electronic Medical Records, preferably EPIC, to document patient care.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Adhere to schedule requirements including working every other weekend and some holidays; flexible scheduling for extended time off is limited.

Required Skills:

• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS certification, with ability and willingness to recertify.
• Minimum of 1.5 years recent experience (within past 2 years) in an acute care hospital setting of similar size and complexity.
• Previous EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to perform a broad range of nursing assessments and skills in a high-pressure environment.
• Clear professional record, with no license suspensions, investigations, or professional liability claims.
• Legal right to work in the U.S.
• Successful completion of pre-employment health screening, drug testing, and criminal background check

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred.
• Over 1.5 years recent critical care or emergency nursing experience.
• Trauma level 1 or 2 experience.
• Prior travel nurse experience in hospitals of similar or greater size and trauma centers.
• Experience working in trauma centers or larger hospital facilities.
• Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).

Other Requirements:

• Both day and night shift available, both are 12-hour night shifts, scheduled every other weekend and some holidays.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
• Willingness to work in a high-stakes, fast-paced ICU environment with weekend and holiday shifts.

• Weekly Pay Rate: $2,800.00
