Duties Description About HPC: HPC is a comprehensive, community-based mental health facility serving individuals from the Central New York region. HPC is committed to supporting underserved individuals, organizations, and communities along with activities and initiatives to reduce disparities in access, quality, and treatment for underserved populations. The successful candidate will provide nursing services appropriate to children (ages 5-20) served by the program. Services may include, but are not limited to: Nursing interventions and their documentation Pediatric Screenings Health teaching/counseling Facilitating admissions and discharges Screening youth for the ability to self-administer medications prior to admission Review medications with youth upon admission Training and education to MHTA staff on medication policies and procedures Weekly nursing groups Chart audits In addition, you may provide supervision and education to subordinate professional, paraprofessional, and support staff in the performance of their patient/resident care duties and be responsible for maintaining inventory standards for medicine, controlled drugs, and narcotics.
