Unit Manager - Short-Term Rehabilitation (STR)-$7500 Sign-On Bonus
About the Role
As the STR Unit Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our Short-Term Rehabilitation unit, ensuring high-quality resident care while promoting a collaborative and resident-focused environment. This leadership position is responsible for supervising nursing staff, coordinating interdisciplinary services, monitoring clinical outcomes, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the Short-Term Rehabilitation unit
Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members
Coordinate and implement individualized resident care plans
Monitor resident assessments, treatments, and clinical outcomes
Ensure care is provided in accordance with facility protocols and safe nursing practices
Participate in resident admissions, discharges, and care transitions
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support to nursing staff
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Promote a collaborative, team-oriented, and resident-focused environment
Support staff development and promote best practices in nursing care
Qualifications
Current, active, and unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
Previous leadership, supervisory, or unit management experience preferred
Experience in short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Strong leadership and organizational skills
