Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – RN

Nu Roc Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is passionate about resident care, enjoys leading clinical teams, and is ready to advance their nursing leadership career in a skilled nursing environment. Working alongside an experienced Director of Nursing, the ADON helps support quality clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, staff development, and resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily operations of the nursing department.

  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and applicable nursing facility standards.

  • Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and support to nursing staff.

  • Monitor resident care and promote quality clinical outcomes.

  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.

  • Assist with survey preparation, regulatory readiness, and follow-up activities.

  • Support infection prevention and control practices.

  • Assist with clinical documentation, care planning, and resident care coordination.

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, orientation, and staff development.

  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and resident-centered work environment.

  • Participate in the weekend management rotation as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting required.

  • Previous nursing leadership experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing, RN Supervisor, Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, or similar role preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to mentor and motivate nursing staff while maintaining high standards of clinical care.

  • Commitment to resident-centered care and clinical excellence.
