Job Description

North Star Academy Nurses promote health and safety in the school environment and provides health services to students, faculty and staff. As the school health services specialist, nurses assist our students and staff in attaining and/or maintaining optimum health, and promoting positive health habits and attitudes

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness
  • Keep track of students' vaccination records and follows up with families as needed
  • Update students' medical history and files accordingly
  • Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
  • Ensure compliance with national and local health laws
Qualifications
  • BSN preferred
  • LPN as long as they are willing to go back to school to get their RN degree to become school certified (Tuition will be reimbursed)

Compensation

Compensation for this role is between $60,000 to $110,000. Most candidates who meet job description requirements will receive an offer of $60,000-$74,000.

Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant professional development, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon
