Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) – Ellsworth AFB, SD Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0700–1630 (No nights or weekends) 7AM-4:30PMU.S. Citizenship Required About the Role Join the 28th Medical Group at Ellsworth Air Force Base, working within a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model that delivers coordinated, team-based care to military members and their families. In this role, you will be part of a dedicated care team—including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical technicians, and behavioral health consultants—focused on whole-person, preventive, and continuous care. The RN plays a key role in delivering direct patient care, coordinating services, and ensuring seamless referrals through the PCMH model while using digital tools to support patient engagement and follow-up. POSITION SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises the following positions: Nursing staff, including, but not limited to, RN, LPN/LVN, CNA, Nursing Supervisors/Charge Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Telemetry Monitor Technicians. Indirectly supervises the following positions: Designated clinical departments, which may include, but are not limited to, therapies (including RT), dietary, radiology, laboratory services, employee health, infection control and staff development. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required. Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Nursing or related field required. Five (5) years experience in a Nursing Management position supervising the delivery of patient care required.
