Shift’s Available:  Nights

Employment Type: PRN or Per Diem 

Hours: 7:00PM - 7:00AM $4 - $8 shift differential)

Location:  Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL

 

We are seeking an Orthopedic Registered Nurse, internally referred to as our Medical Surgical RN, on the 7th floor Tower at Riverview Regional Medical Center (Gadsden, AL), a member of Prime Healthcare. An orthopedic registered nurse (RN) is a registered nurse who specializes in the care of patients with musculoskeletal disorders. They work with patients who have experienced injuries, undergone orthopedic surgery, or have long-term musculoskeletal conditions. Their duties include patient assessment, pain management, wound care, and education about the recovery process. 

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and mental health
  • monitor vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical indicators to detect changes in patient conditions
  • recognize and act on warning signs of deterioration, such as changes in heart rate, respiratory rate, or mental status
  • safely administer prescribed medications (oral, IV, subcutaneous, intramuscular) and monitor for adverse effects or allergic reactions
  • act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure the patient's needs are met
  • provide patient education on their condition, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments to support recovery and prevent readmission.
  • communicate effectively with doctors, specialists, physical therapists, and social workers to develop and adjust care plans

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current

 Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: 

  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
  • Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
  • Ventilator Management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Teach the patient, family, and other members of the health care team. Perform services in accordance with the physician’s orders and the established plan of care (POC). Qualifications Must be a graduate of an approved school of clinical education. Must be licensed in the state where they currently practice. GI Lab Endoscopy RN

Overview Department: GI Lab Shift’s Available: Days (Monday - Friday) There is Call Employment Type: PRN or Per Diem Hours: 6:30am to 3:00pm Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center - Gadsden, AL We are seeking a Gastrointestinal (GI) Lab/Endoscopy Registered Nurse. A GI Lab/Endo RN specializes in caring for patients with conditions affecting their gastrointestinal tract. Their work includes assisting with procedures like colonoscopies and endoscopies, preparing patients for procedures, and providing education and care before, during, and after procedures. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and older adults. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
