Assists in maintaining a clean unit and completing the unit cleaning checklists. Documents in admission, delivery and nursery logbooks in a legible manner when needed. May perform phlebotomy and maternal glucose screening when needed. Education Requirements and Other Requirements: Education Level : High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a surgical assistant program or military equivalent preferred. Certification/Licensure : Surgical Technician certification preferred. BLS required and Basic NRP required within first year of hire date. Experience Requirements : Technician experience in a hospital setting with previous scrub experience preferred. Previous obstetric experience preferred.
