Heritage Assisted Living is seeking caring and dependable individuals to join our team as a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This flexible position offers the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis while helping residents maintain their independence, comfort, and quality of life in a welcoming, home-like environment.

 

Position Overview

In this role, you'll provide a combination of resident support, hospitality services, and personal care assistance. You'll interact closely with residents, helping create a safe, comfortable, and engaging atmosphere where they can thrive.

 

Daily Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care, hygiene, grooming, and other daily activities
  • Encourage resident independence while providing assistance when needed
  • Support mobility, transfers, and ambulation in accordance with care plans
  • Serve meals, snacks, and beverages while promoting a positive dining experience
  • Monitor resident well-being and communicate concerns to nursing staff
  • Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and other assigned observations
  • Assist residents with medication self-administration according to established guidelines
  • Complete housekeeping, laundry, and organizational tasks within resident apartments and common areas
  • Assist with meal preparation, baking, and other kitchen-related duties
  • Contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff and fellow team members to support resident-centered care.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Current CNA certification
  • 1 – 2 years of CNA experience in assisted living, long-term care, or hospital settings
  • BLS and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain

Preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent

PRN Requirements

PRN team members enjoy scheduling flexibility while remaining active members of our care team. To remain active in PRN status, team members must work:

  • Work at least one shift per quarter
