About the Role

Key Responsibilities

The LPN Unit Manager is instrumental in ensuring smooth unit operations and high-quality resident care. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and supporting clinical staff on the assigned unit

  • Providing leadership, guidance, and education to nursing staff

  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture

  • Ensuring compliance with infection prevention and safety standards

Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must have:

  • An unencumbered Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

  • Current CPR certification

  • Minimum of two (2) years LPN experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility

  • Prior nursing leadership or unit management experience preferred

  • Five (5) years of LPN experience strongly preferred

Nursing is provided through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties and Responsibilities: Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Provides required resident assessments/observations and interventions, reviewing care plans to ensure appropriate care. Takes and records residents blood pressure and vital signs, administers catheter care, administers IV therapy to residents as ordered within license limitations, and provides respiratory care, e.g. oxygen, nebulizer treatments.
