Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and versatile Clinical Director for a key leadership role in overseeing our home healthcare operations in Virginia and helping grow the census. In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Clinical Officer.

You’ll be responsible for leading a team of field clinicians to provide essential healthcare services to individuals in their homes, offering skilled and supportive care to aid in recovery, manage chronic conditions, and enhance overall well-being. Additionally, your duties include hiring Nurses and Therapists, managing budgets, and ensuring that the agency adheres to healthcare laws and regulations. The final title for this position may be designated as either Clinical Director or Clinical Manager, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of services provided to patients by clinicians and caregivers

  • Supervise clinicians in the delivery of clinical services to patients and families

  • Participate in the development of agency objectives, standards of care, policies and procedures

  • Collaborate with peers for staff recruitment, selection, orientation, and in-service education

  • Maintain quality of clinical services

  • Participate in the on-call rotation program 

  • Provide skilled nursing treatments as ordered by the client’s doctor 

  • Complete evaluation tasks, including vital signs and medication reviews 

  • Coordinate with physicians, therapists and other individuals in the client’s care plan 

  • Assess and chart observations of the client’s condition at each visit 

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing care 

  • Provide education to clients and families on proper home health care procedures and strategies 

  • Record patients' medical information and vital signs 

  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions 

  • Perform all other nursing duties of a home health nurse as assigned 

Requirements/Qualifications: 

  • Current and valid Virginia and/or West Virginia Registered Nurse License 

  • Prior nursing experience, specifically in home health (preferred) 

  • Current CPR certification (required) 

  • Driver’s License, Car Insurance, and Car Registration 

  • Strong interpersonal skills that build personal rapport and establish trust with the client 

  • OASIS documentation experience is preferred

  • Familiarity with Kinnser / WellSky Home Health is a plus

  • Computer proficiency, including MS Excel, Word, video conferencing, and email
