Job Description:

PRN - Guaranteed 35 hours/week

Monday - Friday shifts

Call is Required

PRN Rate: $45.70/hour

  • Utilizes time, personnel, equipment, and supplies effectively to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
  • Manages resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs.
  • Uses standards of care, hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice.
  • Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.
  • Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
  • Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
  • Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching.
  • Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient’s preferences, values, and needs.
  • Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity.
  • Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • High level of abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise the plan of care according to patient outcomes
  • Critical care experience
  • Advanced IV skill set (preferred)
  • Experience with electronic medical records (preferred)


Education:

  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]


Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of Cath Lab/IR experience or Critical Care experience in MICU, CVICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, Burn ICU Highly preferred for this department


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
